The N.O. Idowu Community Health Centres (NOICHC) span approximately 25km2 in OyoState Lagelu and Akinyele Local Government Areas, serving an estimated 359,944 residents. As the first non- profit private health organization in rural Nigeria, it started as a church clinic for the benefit of the congregation at St. James Anglican Church, Eniosa, in September 1997. The late Chief Nathaniel Olabiyi Idowu (1934 – 2010) then provided financial support for the clinic and went ahead to collaborate with Tulsi Chanrai for the expansion of the clinic so the community at large would benefit from the health care services provided.
